About the Syria visa

Syria is home to some of the world's oldest cities, including Damascus and Aleppo, and the ancient site of Palmyra. Indian passport holders need a visa, which requires prior security approval and is usually arranged through a sponsor or tour operator.

The country has been through a long conflict and a political transition. India's Ministry of External Affairs has advised Indian nationals against travel to Syria. Do not plan a trip without checking the latest advisory.
